2021 Trail of Tears Ride
I had thought about joining this ride for years, so when I received an invitation from Michael Hutton, I knew it was time. Overall, it was a great experience. The rain no doubt limited the attendance, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. We started each day with a devotional and had outstanding fellowship and riding. One of the Texas riders, Jeff, did a great job of organizing and leading the ride each day. It was an honor and a pleasure to spend time with men of God who ride. At the end of the trail, we were on the Talimena Scenic Byway traveling west toward Oklahoma at sunset. another texas rider, Dan, was in the rear. He put his Road glide on cruise control and took some photos with his phone. one of the photos (can be seen in the gallery) was especially inspiring and beautiful. I’m a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and we have an annual fundraiser called Run for the Son to support our ministries. Riding into the sunset seems to be an ideal image to represent CMA, so I produced this painting.

One of the texas riders, steve, added, this ride is about " the freedom, comradery, and beauty of the open road."
